So before I go into my challenged moments, I’m going to sum up the positives… #characterbuilding #somerfordparkinternational #dreamteam @spaldinginternationalsaddlery @collegiate @franklinbillard @equimaging @westvilletherapysupplies …And there have been plenty of positives on this busy weekend! Can you believe Tiny has decided to play on my team for all 3 phases, rather than just his favourite one!?! His incredible improvement on the flatwork and a real effort over the showjumps added to his magical Xc round for his 10th place double clear in a very competitive and enormous class (80 entries)!!! ????
Smokie was going amazingly cross country, til I got pulled up 4 from home for missing a loop… ? Oh well, he doesn’t know we got the big fat ‘E’!!! Pete was the best he’s felt Xc- think I’ve finally found a good bit for him! We had a momentary lapse of perfection at a double of hookin great corners set on a tricky line behind an open ditch hedge- but was then he was flat as a pancake having to showjump after he had put his heart and soul into the cross country.
Pictures attached show Wilf- who earnt a 2nd place at his final run at this level before we step up; Foxy showing some tail to the boys to see who can keep up with her flying form of 2 Intermediate starts with a 4th and a 7th! Joe earnt a placing, but he also made the fences look insignificant, so maybe time to step him up to Intermediate too!!! Macs near perfect day nearly earnt him a win at his 2nd ever attempt at Intermediate… So I’d say- by the feel of it… I have a very exciting team of stars!!! What a lucky girl I am to have an exciting team of owners believing in me, and trusting me with their/ our horses!!!
