Meet The Team!

Galwaybay “Smokie”

Smokie seems to have a rare ability to put and keep a smile on my face every time I sit on him! I spotted him on the same journey to Ireland that I found his ‘brother’ Pete; both were 4 year-olds. Since then, he has gone from strength to strength. He was invited to join the World Class Pathway following very consistent runs at Intermediate and 1* as a 6 year old, and is now proving that they spotted him well!! This year Smokie has been a huge part of my fairy tale season, where I was stepping him up to his advanced just a week after my arm was allowed out of plaster! He finished off with a top 10 finish at Osberton CCI2* and an incredibly classy clear round Blenheim 3*!!

Lissyegan Junior Guy “Pete”

My little pocket rocket Pedro… What can I say apart from: what a cracker!! Pete has found the journey up to 2* quite easy, and every time I sit on him, I have to remind myself he might be tiny, but he’s a big horse with an massive heart! I still feel that these two boys are the best I’ve sat on, and the journey to 4* may be an interesting one, but I know that’s where it will end up! Pete was placed and double clear in his first attempt at Advanced at Allerton! Such a classy lad!

Tower Hill Boy “Willy”

Willy is the 3rd member of my dream team! He went up to Novice level last season, with consistently the best marks I’ve racked up on one horse! He’s done 22 double clear at Novice level, is more often sub 30 than above, and consistently clear Showjumping. With him being so careful the cross country means I might have to take his journey steadily, but it’s going to be WELL worth the patience!!!

Foxfields Chanteuse

Foxy lady is a seriously classy bird!! Since she rejoined my team with her -now- joint owner Sam Campbell, she is stepping up through the beginnings of the ladder very quickly… She is nearly out of Novice points, got a couple of Regional Qualifications at Novice level… And she felt seriously classy finishing inside the time at her first 1*!! By the end of the season, she was convincingly an Intermediate horse! We were well placed in 3 out of 3 Intermediates, and feeling a million dollars!! Hopefully she will continue to climb that eventing ladder, as I feel like she ought to!

Cranny Hill Chosen “Mac”

Mac joined the team last year, and is owned by Mrs Eleanor Cursham. We’ve had a great start to this season, where Mac has been placed every time out at Novice level! He’s now made a successful step up to Intermediate, with a placing at our last event of the season to make us look forward to next year together!!

Make it Count “Evie”

Evie is a home-bred mare by Grafenstolz x Talk Time (My own YR European horse)

She is 7 this year and seems to have ‘arrived’ as a grown up! I’ve taken things so steady with Evie, as she’s been so late to grow and mature… But I’m so thrilled that I’ve given her so much time. She has now made that step into Novice convincingly, and feels oh so cool! She will surely step up again easily next season, as she is just so scopey and bold!

Tornebank Valentino “Tiny”

Tiny joined my team end of 2015 season, so the start of this season has been a bit of a fact finding mission! We’ve had a few runs at Intermediate and CIC2*, and our attention has now been drawn towards entering up Advanced and hope to be thinking towards CIC3* by the end of the season! He is quite some machine cross country… Let’s see if we can unlock a little bit more of that ability hiding away in there!!

I have ridden horses all my life. I have relocated my yard, to Vale View Equestrian, with facilities that are out of this world for producing my lovely horses. I am very excited about having these resources at my fingertips, and the results are shining through right across the board, showing my horses are settled, happy, and now able to work every aspect of their competition needs!
