Allerton park sleep deprivation!!

Nearly home from day 1 at Allerton Park with the Novice horses… 4 hours sleep til we turn around for tomorrow’s manic day!!! 3 Intermediates and 2 Advanced rounds before lunch!!Today was a great day in the flesh, more so than on paper. Wilf found his first Novice a walk in the park… After a week in the stable after cutting himself, he didn’t get much of a tune up! After the first few fences, he realised Novice was much more fun than 100s, and jumped incredibly well! One tiny mistake Xc at a tiny log which wasn’t where it should be, and the rest of the round was poetry!! Evie posted yet another cool confident clear Xc- this flash little horse is turning into a really cool jumping machine!!! Let’s hop tomorrow goes well for my two first time advanced boys!!! ?

    Jess Storey
    Yard Manager/ Competition Groom

Jess joined the team as a trainee back in 2020! Apart from a very short stint spreading her wings, she quickly decided that we really were the family she wanted to be a part of!! I hope Jess will be my Jackie Potts, as she treats the whole team as her own family, and keeps the cogs turning smoothly- even during our tough times!!

    Bryonie Ellis
    Apprentice

Bryonie is our wonderful Apprentice, and despite her diminutive size, she is definitely mighty!! She shows such commitment to the team and is a such wonderful and critical part of our family.

    Monica Leggett

Monica is the newest member of FDE, and is proving to be a great help in every aspect of our yard life. Her wonderful positive attitude; her capability in the yard and on a horse is a very welcome addition to the FDE family!!
