Tempestuous August weather makes for tempestuous eventing!!

Day 2 of another big weekend at Somerford Park International… I’m already thrilled with everyone so far, and the big boys exciting stuff is yet to come!!! The penny his finally dropped with Wilf, and he is well and truly looking for another part of every combination!! 28 double clear in the time for 2nd place!!! Little Joe did get a Novice run after all, and he did a steady 29 double clear for 8th place! Pete has done his usual super dressage in the 2* for one point divide between him & big bro Smokie- and my topper didn’t quite blow off my head!!! Let’s hope we can pull off some more double clears in the big class tomorrow!!! Tiny goes into tomorrow sitting in middle placing, and my two boys are each side of 20th out of 80. All to go for with Showjumping last!!!

  1. Hi Fiona , I have just enjoyed reading your profile on your eventing page ..it is such a huge achievement , you have done so well !
I feel sad that I didn’t know alot about it , especially your entry for the European Championships in 2004 , I’m sure I wasn’t doing anything very important at the time and wished I’d been able to cheer you on !! Wishing you great continued success and will try to keep a much closer eye on events ..there are so many things I want to travel to once my hip is fully healed ! Lots of love xxx

    • Thank you Auntie Judith, how is your healing process going?!! It would be great to see you if you ever wanted to come and join in with proceedings… Picnic and a few bubbles if I’m not flat to the boards!!? It’s good fun when the sun is shining. I can remember when you guys came to Brockenhurst all those years ago!!!x x

    • ahh ! It was such a lovely day at Brockenhurst .. Remember it so well .. your Mum suggested that Hazel could cut her own food bless ! And I never knew you covered your ponios legs in that stuff to protect them …!
I am slowly but surely mobilising .. Not a very good patient ! Can’t wait til I have my clips out of the scar on Wednesday and it heals properly so I can get back in the pool and lots of rehab !
Definitely set a goal to visit once fully fit xxxx

I have ridden horses all my life. I have relocated my yard, to Vale View Equestrian, with facilities that are out of this world for producing my lovely horses. I am very excited about having these resources at my fingertips, and the results are shining through right across the board, showing my horses are settled, happy, and now able to work every aspect of their competition needs!
